Hello, and thank you so much for making something for me <3 I already know I will love and appreciate whatever you see fit to create. As long as you stay clear of my DNWs listed in the sign-up, we are good! That said, I have taken the time to comb through my requests and explain a bit about what I love about these pairings, and come up with a few prompts for each of them. Feel free to use them as inspiration, combine them, discard them entirely, etc. If you have any questions, feel free to have the mods shoot me an email as well.
They are the world's most toxic, codependent throuple. Toxic enough to make and break empires, even. They lived together, became gods together and then died together in a really embarrassing and pathetic way, off-screen. No one is doing non-monogamous codependency like them! I love the way that Ziya and Daji seem to still be utterly terrified of Riga even decades later, the way that jealousy evidently played into the rift between Ziya and Riga, and everything relating to their trauma-bonding. Also, I love the idea that they are all involved with each other, but I am definitely open to V-shaped and/or other configurations, or the idea that they have changed their relationship configurations multiple times.
Some prompts:
- Two of them (any) hook up/have a romantically or sexually tense moment, and the third watches or sees it and feels emotions (jealousy, desire, possessiveness, whatever) about it. Could get involved or not.
- As Riga gets more violent, Ziya and Daji begin to band together more, culminating in some sort of fight.
- Daji and Riga have a fight and Riga takes it out on Ziya / could also be that Ziya and Riga fight and Riga takes it out on Daji.
- Series of short vignettes that show moments in their relationship as it gets progressively more violent and codependent and nasty.
- Immediate emotional aftermath of Riga and/or Ziya getting sealed.
- Their final moments alive.
I ADORE the Red Lotus. It is really insane to me that Bryke introduced these people as being kept in inhumane, brutal prison conditions, breaking out of prison in the coolest way possible, and killing a monarch, and then somehow expected me not to root for them. Best characters in LOK for realsies. Everything they did was objectively morally correct!! There's a lot to love and explore here. They come from a long shared history, there's lore sprinkled in here and there about how P'Li and Zaheer met, but not so much for Ghazan and Ming-Hua. How did they all come together? How do they relate to other groups within the Red Lotus? I love the idea of exploring their backstory.
Additionally, I am a very political person. Any story that seriously engages with them as anarchists (and here you can give them whatever adjective you want, I'd love to read them as specifist, insurrectionary, syndicalist, anarcho-comunist etc, or a tendency that could be specific to the world of Avatar), their experience of class struggle in the world of Avatar, and even the structure of the larger Red Lotus organization (are they a formal or informal organization? federated? do they operate as autonomous or interdependent cells? is it a platform? or is it different affinity groups using the same name?) would probably get some delighted squealing out of me.
Note- any configuration of this polycule works for me, honestly. You can also choose to focus on a specific relationship or a couple of specific relationships within the polycule if you like!
Some prompts:
- Backstory and lore. Who was the last to join their group? How did they get along with the new person who joined? What were their shifting dynamics when accpeting a new member?
- Developing relationships. How did their relationships with each other evolve over time? This could be focusing on a specific moment, like for example P'Li realizing she has feelings for Ming-Hua when she's already dating Zaheer, or a series of small moments that show how they all come to be together.
- Good old fashioned seduction! An established couple seduces another person of the group, possibly encouraged by the fourth person.
- The immediate aftermath and hiding after their failed kidnapping attempt on Korra. Maybe they had to split up along the way, or maybe they're all hiding together. If there's angst, even better.
- Their reunion after they have all broken out of prison, or possibly a series of reunions after each of them have broken out.
- Something fucky with the spirit world, post-canon, maybe? Zaheer attempts to find, or maybe stumbles across the remnants of P'Li, Ming-Hua and/or Ghazan's spiritis in the spirit realm. This could be heartbreaking.
- Casefic. They plot and execute an attack on a factory, a symbol of power, a warlord's home, etc. The more realtistic with the planning, the better.
Oh, I just think they have so much angst potential. A lot could've gone on between themduring Kallus's time at the Chimaera, and the tension in knowing that he's a spy, knowing that Thrawn may suspect something but having no idea exactly what it is that he suspects... delicious source of angst and tension. It could even be a relationship that started before Kallus started working as Fulcrum, which is even more full of potential conflict. All of this is heightened if you include Kallus's budding feelings for Zeb, too. from Thrawn's side, it's also interesting to explore whether he's developing genuine feelings, or if this is a way of feeling out Kallus's loyalty to him or the empire. If you've read the Thrawn novels, this could also be a way for him to get his mind off Eli, like a rebound sort of situation, too. I will fully admit, I am a bit more partial to Kallus's POV here, though if you decide to go with Thrawn I'll be thrilled to read it!
Also, I know I lean hard on angst, but I am not at all opposed to humor here, I think this tension can also be played for comedy, especially if you bring in the Chimaera gossip mill into it. Maybe with Pryce as a cunty side character.
If you're writing smut I encourage you to get weird with Thrawn's genitalia. Please go crazy, I love xeno, whether your thing is multiple dicks or knots or tentacles or additional holes or inflation or weird fluids or eggs or whatever, if you include non-human genital configurations in your smut I will invariably love it.
Some prompts:
- Kallus tries to honeytrap Thrawn for information while working as Fulcrum. Perhaps Thrawn is also honeytrapping him, perhaps not. Either way, things get very, very messy.
- Thrawn seems to take an inerest in agent Kallus and invites him to his private quarters not long after they meet. He invites him for dinner/drinks in his quarter and maybe this develops into a genuine affair.
- Redux of their fight scene when Thrawn corners Kallus into revealing himself as Fulcrum on the radio tower, this time underscored by the fact that they have had an intimate relationship. Maybe their fight gets more personal, more intense, or even has a sexual edge to it.
- Horny sparring. I am not immune to horny sparring. Thrawn has a private training room....
A shared history, old man yaoi, leftist infighting, decades-old political beef. What DON'T they have, honestly. I am watching their conversation with fujoshi goggles ON and those old men have fucked NASTY, I just know it. Whether it was an awkward one-time thing or a years-long torrid affair, it's undeniably happened. If you want to get real about Star Wars politics, the beef and sectarianism between different anti-Empire groups, please have at it, nothing would make me happier. I am a huge fan of Saw Gerrera's sectarianism. If you find a way to relate this to real-life political tendencies, I will literally propose, probably. As an aside, I have a personal interest in the urban and revolutinary guerrillas of the 70s (RAF, RZ, JRA, MRTA, Tupamaros, FPMR, PFLP, etc), so if you get inspired by any of that, even better.
This pairing has a lot of room for both humor and angst, and I'd be happy to receive either. Whether you choose to focus on the leftist infighting and revolutionary armed struggle beef with messy hookups thrown in, or the real, often unbearable weight of an uphill battle, haunted by ghosts and the constant loss of valuable and beloved comrades, I will be very excited to read it.
Some prompts:
- They've been on-again-off-again for ages. It usually starts with arguing about strategy.
- After Luthen shows up at the Partisans' hideout to call Saw sectarian, they fall back into old, familiar habits. Which means old man sex.
- First meeting: two bitter rebels walk into a bar...
- They try to work together on a mission. Doesn't go well.
- They're each others' unhealthy coping mechanism for the permanent state of grief that is being a rebel.
This could be so messed up, genuinely. Think about the power dynamics at play, of a rich, powerful older woman taking an interest in a poor, single mother of two from a downtrodden fishing village. Their relationship could be fascinating and fucked up and so very upsetting. Joyce is married to a man, so this would have to involve some degree of infidelity, which could call into question whether her feelings for Lilienne are genuine, of if this is just a way for her to have fun and kill time. As an ultraliberal bourgeois woman, Joyce views the working class as disposable resources, does this perspective extend to her interpersonal relationships, especially with Lilienne? I think there' a lot fo room for exploration of class dynamics. Really I just think the unequal power dynamics make this relationship an exceedingly interesting one for me. Also, does their relationship cause tension between Lilienne and the rest of the village? Is it an open secret?
I also have to say. I am so, so, so attracted to Joyce. I am just incredibly horny for that evil old woman. If you don't feel like writing smut you obviously don't have to but this is me saying I would welcome it with open arms. Especially if Joyce is topping and she's kind of mean about it and there's some level of dehumanization and power play going on.
Some prompts:
- Joyce invites Lilienne on her boat to seduce her, while Lilienne thinks about how different their lives are.
- Lilienne needs a favor from Joyce (money?), and feels the need to repay her (I feel like Joyce would not outight require this at all, but it would be easy for Lilienne to feel some sort of obligation). This could be through services that escalate or just a straightforward porn premise.
- Established relationship with Lilienne feeling uneasy and questioning their dynamic and the power that she feels Joyce holds (in the world and over her).
Su Daji/Jiang Ziya/Yin Riga
They are the world's most toxic, codependent throuple. Toxic enough to make and break empires, even.
